The Australian Briard Website was first aired in 1998 and was then, and still is, a consortium of Australian Briard Breeders and owners. The primary purpose of the site is to educate about the Briard. The site has always been about the BRIARD. This site is not about selling puppies or promoting one breeder over another. It is about the BRIARD and the BRIARD comes 1st, 2nd , and 3rd

This site and ideals have been copied many times and in some instances taken word for word, but that is all good, as imitation is always the sincerest form of flattery !

As breeders and owners our primary responsibility to the Briard is is to be a caretaker of the breed, and to educate and ensure that people who are interested in the Briard buy one for the right reasons. We understand that the Briard is not the right breed for everyone.

Breeders on this site have huge ranges of experience. Some have been breeding and owning Briards since the breed first arrived in Australia in 1974 and some have owned for but a few years and have just had their 1st litter.

This site is also the hub of all things Briard in Australia. Events and parties are organised in various states along with many fund raising activities. These funds go into the Breed Rescue Fund and we are able to help out many dogs in need. We have donated directly to Bushfire & Flood appeals in Australia and also to overseas Briards. We have a very active Forum and are always happy to help our fellow Briard owners regardless.

Our network of breeders, and owners have successfully rescued many Briards from pounds, shelters and have placed them in loving, secure new homes.

Funds by The Australian Briard Site & Forum include donations to the following    A badly injured Briard $680
Donation to Qld Flood appeal $1371
Donation to Albury Rescue $50
Airfares for rescue dogs $225
Victorian Bushfire donation  $250
