What Differentiates Us

Some Briard kennels breed exclusively for colour, others breed for the show ring, others breed unregistered puppies from parents who don't have a single health test!!

At Cacharel we breed for the all round Briard. A Briard who can compete with honours in the show ring, who can work sheep all day, compete in agility, obedience or be a fabulous family companion. And we have the results on the board to back that statement up!! Yes, we are the most successful breeders for show Briards in Australia, a fact we are very proud of , but we have also made many many families very happy with their companion Briard. We have very high standards for show dogs, and whilst many Briards can be shown . . the question always is .  should they be shown . . ?

  • Sired by Australian Champion Cacharel Steppin Out PT (Bruno) Bruno is a Multiple Best in Show winning Briard. He also has won Best of Breed under a Breed specialist at Australia's premier show Sydney Royal. He won the first of his Sydney Royal Best of Breeds at only 14 months of age. This is Bruno's first litter for us. and we are very much looking forward to it
     
  • Dam : Australian Champion Trilby Zangfroid HT (Rosee) AVA hip score 3 CSNB Free
     
  • Rosee's pups have an outstanding record in both the show ring and the herding arena. Her offspring have won Best of Breed at Sydney, Canberra, Perth & Darwin Royal's. She is the dam of the first Briard to achieve the PT award in herding, she herself has her HT award and from her 2005 litter, 3 pups have their HIC's in herding.

Rosee and Bruno are both very easy going Briards, eager to please and very laid back in temperament. Both have fabulous coat texture and quality, which for a pet owner makes grooming that much easier - the less time you spend grooming the more time you can spend having fun with your Briard!!
